Jambo family and friends!
Know that you are all missed and thought about often. We've been really busy but are glad to get a break to connect with you all.

We are in DAY THREE of the OCM Conference in Nakuru. Each day we have been ministering with the OCM pastors, Gerald teaches each morning and we all lead small groups. A bunch of us have also shared our testimonies. In the afternoon we go into the market, set up a stage and along with the OCM team, worship and teach from the Bible. Kenyan people from all around the market gather to dance, sing, and listen to the Word of God.

All of us have had the opportunity to talk with adults, teenagers and goof around with all of the kids. A couple of us have a little posse of kids who follow us around everywhere :)

When we get back to the Farmer's Guesthouse, there are often a bunch of kids sitting outside waiting for us to come play with them. We've learned their names and taught them songs like "lift Jesus higher" and "God made all of us"

Thanks for your prayers, thoughts and support. It's difficult to be away from you all during the Christmas season, but it's really special for us to share the love of Christ- ESPECIALLY during this holiday.

MUCH MUCH love from Africa,

We are all here, happy and healthy!

The land is beautiful and the people are equally striking. I don't think I'm the only on who feels like I am living in the pages of National Geographic. God has protected us through 20+ hours of travel and has brought us on an incredible adventure so far. I feel so blessed to be writing on a computer to share this with you all! Here's a story through pictures so far:

The beautiful women at the Kazuri bead ministry, providing women with fair and manageable jobs to make a living, making beads by hand. Some of you lucky people may get some authentic African beads when we get back!

We stopped on the side of the road to feed giraffes! There were also pumbas (warthogs) behind the fence!

Also on the side of the road: Benson, the Pastor taking care of us fed them roasted corn and my nutrigrain bar!

view from the road! The mountain on the left is a dormant volcano. The countryside is full of farms and tin roofed houses.

Much love from Africa,

Last night was some wondrous team bonding as we piled six girls on one couch at the Ogoli's house.
The rest of our team scattered around the living room. Dr. David Ogoli and his wife, Iris welcomed the team into their apartment for some
AUTHENTIC KENYAN food. The Ogoli family is from Kenya and Dr. Ogoli was on a team to design a couple skyscrapers lining the skies of Nairobi. He told us all about what to expect when we arrive from the mannerisms of the people(abnormally long handshakes) to the weather. He even taught us some Swahili:

Jambo- hello

Rafiki- friend

Simba- Lion

(we pretty much discussed "The Lion King")

The only way to do dinner for guests in Kenya is to welcome them with a FEAST. We had  Ugali (thick porridge), Chipotti bread, rice and chicken, beef and veggies, Fried Plantanes, Pineapple and ended the meal with dessert- Mindazi (fried pastry)

MMMMMMMmmmmmmm

more training today and then tomorrow......we're off!
